Less is More: Challenges to LGBT+ Embrace

To the dismay of the LGBT community, keyboards only have 26 letters.   But if divine authority won’t hold you back, neither will a 26 letter keyboard.  The solution is the + key.  The + key is the ticket to so-called personal fulfillment and you being you.

The problem with this is that chaos always comes back on itself.  Contradictions cut the knees out from an argument that doesn’t even have legs to stand on.  Denying reality in one area will be the boomerang that comes around to hit you in another area.  Immorality is inherently illogical and it will always be its own worst enemy.

This is the case with LGBT issues as well.  Therefore, I want to give you some categories with which you can confront the insanity of LGBT+ acceptance.  The goal is to the press the inconsistency and therefore do Proverbs 26:5, “Answer a fool as his folly deserves, that he not be wise in his own eyes.”  We want to show that there is no wisdom in the embrace of LGBT+.  It is immorality and rebellion in disguise.  It is folly and eventual disaster.  Less is more because God’s blessing comes through what he designs.  And the “less” that is aimed for is God’s design of one (physically born) man and one (physically born) woman in lifelong covenantal marriage.

The essence of the argument that we want to press is this: If you deny the physical realities of your given gender and its procreative purposes in order to create your own identity, then what stops you from doing this in other areas?

What other areas?

Chronological

Aging is a physical issue.  If you deny the physical realities of gender, why not deny the physical realities of time.  Where is the inconsistency for a physical man to reject his male body and identify as a female, as well as for him to reject his physical age of 40 years and identify as a 10 year old female?

Size

One’s weight and health is a physical issue.  If you deny the physical realities of gender, why not deny the physical realities of dress size?  Many girls are deeply concerned with their appearance and go to extreme measures to lose weight, including bulimia and anorexia.  Where is the inconsistency for a physical woman to identify as a male, as well as to identify her 6 ft., 90 lb. frame as being obese?

Race

One’s lineage is a physical issue.  If you deny the physical realties of gender, why not deny the physical realities of nationality?  If you live in a country that is predominantly Asian, there are many wonderful cultural and social experiences and advantages that come with being Asian.  Where is the inconsistency for a physical man to reject his black Nigerian male body and identify as female, as well as for him to identify as belonging to the Asian race?

Species

One’s nature as a human is a physical issue.  If you deny the physical realities of gender, why not deny the physical realities of species.  Sharks are at the top of the aquatic food chain.  They are awesome in speed, power, and their sense of smell.  Where is the inconsistency for a physical woman to reject her female body, as well as to reject her humanness and identity as a shark?  Sure there are limitations, like being unable to breath underwater.  But just like hormone treatments were unavailable a hundred years ago, so in a hundred years perhaps we will have lung replacement procedures.

And in case you think these examples are far-fetched, yes, there are people who have claimed other identities in all the above categories.

It may be recognized that most of these issues have to do with gender identity, which relates most closely with transgenderism.  However, in the paragraph in which I was speaking about the essence of the argument, I also included this phrase: “gender and its procreative purposes.”  It is important to recognize that the procreative purposes are also a part of the physical realities.  If you deny that our genders are for procreative purposes (even if they can’t procreate because of old age or infertility), and therefore embrace homosexual practices, this is also a denial of physical realities.

Can you see what is happening in all of this?  There is a steadily growing extreme of denials.  The denial of the reality of genders in transgenderism was preceded by the denial of the procreative purposes of gender in homosexual relationships.  The denial of procreative purposes was proceeded by the denial of the permanence of marriage and the acceptance of divorce.  The denial of the permanence of marriage was proceeded by the denial of God’s authoritative Word over our individual lives.  And with that, we have reached the root issue.

At the bottom of all of this is the refusal to obey God’s word.  It is the very problem we find in the Garden of Eden.  Adam and Eve made a choice to believe what they thought was best.  When you step away from the Word of God you have started the march toward insanity and death.  It’s a slow death at first, but as the denials get more outrageous, (and they always will) death comes quicker and more brutally.

So stand in the gap.  Challenge the insanity that is descending upon our nation and world.  Show them their folly and call them to the repentance that leads to the knowledge of the truth.
